First of all thats awsome! id say the more watts the better just because its a huge setup, if you want lights that dont produce a ton of heat you should use florescent tube lights for that setup acrossed the top, and maybe add something to circulate the air inside if you dont have anything, sorry im not sure i dont use as an elaborate of a setup as that, mine i just adapt them to the humidity in the house and they get light from the window no artificial lighting, hope this helps
Yeah I imagine metal halide will be quite hot, a few tubes of florescent tubes should do the trick, maybe 2 40watters. What type of plants are you planning on keeping them in? Yeah agree that some kind of fan for circulation is also ideal.
One tip, if you are going to go with florescent tubes, try to set it up so that only the tubes are inside, the ballast can be mounted outside, this way you save on the heat. Again unless of course you live in temperate climate and you want lowlander species, then you want the heat anyway.
My non expert opinion.

its going to be highland terrarium with cooling system, I'm putting today (basically I should be able to set the temp inside electronically). by the way I live in Israel so the temps are high most of the time.

I don't think 40 watt are going to do trick ,because of the hight (1 meter),and from my experience (in my current grow shelf I'm just keep adding lights. old picture of my grow shelf( I have changed couple of things )
thatoneplantboi: Hey guys, I'm new to growing nepenthes, I'm getting a mini indoor greenhouse to grow them in. What kind of light should I use for them? Also, if you could provide a link to a product, it would be very much appreciated

borneo: Yes, they work superbly. But you don't need expensive lights, cheap ones work well too.

vidyut: Photobucket has ruined this place and many other forum archives with years and years of photos worth referencing now blurred. Priceless information hostage to services once free, begging for adoption, arbitrarily monetized.
