I've had trouble rooting this also. This plant grows so well that I took a cutting from a node that was dormant when I started rooting before the initial cutting died. I was able to root the second cutting. I used a slightly different method, so maybe this will help. I used a fairly wide shallow tuperware container with perlite and a little charcoal, no drainage. I allowed the perlite to barely dry before misting the perlite and allowing a little water to collect in the bottom. The roots actually formed along the bottom of the container in a wide flat disk.

DangerousPlants has or had them, but despite trying my damnedest, I only get in touch with them about once every 3 months. I've sent lots of emails to Thomas and never gotten a response, he's never online anymore and the last couple times he was I didn't get a response, and I sent Dave a PM or two about it and also never got a response. Whenever I do get to talk to him, our convos usually go about like this:
Thomas: I have a lot of stuff Me: What about X? T: No Me: Well what about X? T: No Me: Hmm..in that case, how about X, X, X, X, and X? T: No, no, no, no, and I have to check but I don't think so.
I would just buy one from them, but for some reason, I don't see that happening. I'd try anyway if I were you...maybe I'm just having bad luck?
thatoneplantboi: Hey guys, I'm new to growing nepenthes, I'm getting a mini indoor greenhouse to grow them in. What kind of light should I use for them? Also, if you could provide a link to a product, it would be very much appreciated

borneo: Yes, they work superbly. But you don't need expensive lights, cheap ones work well too.

vidyut: hey mylesg. glad to hear that. Love this forum. Facebook can't organize knowledge like this. Will participate as much as I can.

vidyut: Photobucket has ruined this place and many other forum archives with years and years of photos worth referencing now blurred. Priceless information hostage to services once free, begging for adoption, arbitrarily monetized.
