Ludwig, Check out the pics in the Nepenthes in the Wild section of this forum, Robert's pics from the Kelabit highlands, Bareo. Those are the more terrestrial growing veitchii, and the clones from MT were collected in the region originally by Chi'en Lee. It should give you some of idea as to what to expect years down the road.
Matti- It seems that all of my mature veitchii are from rooted cuttings. Currently I have a rooted cutting of a lowland veitchii I received from Leilani a few years back. It has a 16 inch leaf span and is sending up its first flower spike; male. The rooted cuttings appear, in my conditions, to grow at a much faster rate than tc or seed grown plants.

I have some rather large veitchii plants (well large enough to cling to a tree or wall) growing quite well for tc and seed grown plants. The vines have many side shoots emerging, but no growth. I think the stem needs to be rather thick before flowering occurs. While hybrids with veitchii bloom prolifically well for me, the true species do not. Perhaps in time I'll start getting a round of them flowering all at once. Both the highland and the lowland species grow equally slow/fast for me.
thatoneplantboi: Hey guys, I'm new to growing nepenthes, I'm getting a mini indoor greenhouse to grow them in. What kind of light should I use for them? Also, if you could provide a link to a product, it would be very much appreciated

borneo: Yes, they work superbly. But you don't need expensive lights, cheap ones work well too.

vidyut: Photobucket has ruined this place and many other forum archives with years and years of photos worth referencing now blurred. Priceless information hostage to services once free, begging for adoption, arbitrarily monetized.
