Hi Micheal, I am new here from Malaysia been reading this forum recently and decide to register online. I use to have a ventricosa x lowii growing as lowland but it did not make it . It kept making smalller leaves and eventually died. IT did grew very fast though but my lowii x truncata is still doing well. I find that maybe my cross takes on the lowii genes more then the ventricosa but i do hope that someday they make more hybrids for the true lowland.
Hi northiana, thanks for the info. I have a lowii x truncata and it's doing quite well in Singapore... was toying with the idea of getting a lowii x ventricosa (whenever it becomes available again!) but if it doesn't do well in Malaysia, it's probably not going to do well here in Singapore.Do you grow a Predator too?
Hi ebeyonder, the Lowii x ventricosa was growing awhile with pitcher and then when the weather turns hot it goes into decline and it never regain strength after that. I do have predator too. They one tough plants i can say. It pitcher for me during the cooler period and the pitcher last along time mine is more then 6 months and still going strong. They need some how bright light and windy area. Truncata x ( spectabilis x northiana ) is the fastest and easiest to grow can rival my miranda hehehe but it too needs very bright light to grow and pitcher mine very leafy not much pitcher either
thatoneplantboi: Hey guys, I'm new to growing nepenthes, I'm getting a mini indoor greenhouse to grow them in. What kind of light should I use for them? Also, if you could provide a link to a product, it would be very much appreciated

borneo: Yes, they work superbly. But you don't need expensive lights, cheap ones work well too.

mylesg: i havent checked in here for a while, why does it seem all the CP forums have lost their once strong activity? the trade/sale section used to be so active and now its a ghost town. where is everybody hanging out these days for a strong online CP community?

vidyut: hey mylesg. glad to hear that. Love this forum. Facebook can't organize knowledge like this. Will participate as much as I can.

vidyut: Photobucket has ruined this place and many other forum archives with years and years of photos worth referencing now blurred. Priceless information hostage to services once free, begging for adoption, arbitrarily monetized.
