Years ago this list was sent to me by Arthur Lauffenburger. Arthur and I spoke at length about his re-organizing Nepenthes hybrids into an orchid based registration system. While the recognition of grex hybrid naming is needed, a system exactly like that used by orchid growers is not adequately tailored to Nepenthes hybrid purposes. In a way, Arthur was way ahead of his time in recognizing the need to use a more detailed hybrid naming system for Nepenthes. This list is not perfect, and does make suppositions based on Orchid hybrid nomenclature (such as reciprocal hybrids bearing the same name, which the majority of Nepenthes hybridizers would find inadequate). This list carries hybrids up to the late 1990's, but from a historical perspective is more accurate than other lists, and Arthur must be commended for his untiring research into finding exact parentages of certain hybrids. In my opinion, it is the most accurate and comprehensive Nepenthes hybrid listing to date. Recently, there existed a Japanese website devoted to Nepenthes hybrid lists, and no doubt, Arthur's list was the basis for it. I have since lost contact with Mr Lauffenburger, and if he should happen to see this, please contact me! Michelle shot these pages with a digital camera (the scanner is down) and published them to share with everyone interested.
thatoneplantboi: Hey guys, I'm new to growing nepenthes, I'm getting a mini indoor greenhouse to grow them in. What kind of light should I use for them? Also, if you could provide a link to a product, it would be very much appreciated

borneo: Yes, they work superbly. But you don't need expensive lights, cheap ones work well too.

vidyut: Photobucket has ruined this place and many other forum archives with years and years of photos worth referencing now blurred. Priceless information hostage to services once free, begging for adoption, arbitrarily monetized.
