It's been far too long since I posted a landscape image. Most of my photography documents family life but I do get out, sometimes..... I recently spent a week with family at Joshua Tree National Park and wanted to enjoy some nice dark skies for a change.
Image details: Sky - 14mm, f/2.8, 4 minutes, ISO 800, 6 exposures, tracked a few feet in front of the monolith with an Astrotrac Foreground - 17mm, f/14, ISO 400 (windy), 1/5 sec, single exposure same morning at twilight I took sky and land images with both the 14mm Samyang and 17mm ts-e, knowing the advantages of each for this shot, hoping a single lens would do the job. The 17mm had too much coma during review onsite so I switched to the 14mm Samyang. In post I played with the 14mm's foreground keystoning and tired of the process quickly. After cropping the composite image for composition, the shifted 17mm simply gave a superior distortion free result.(hoa da pha le )
For astronomy buffs, Saturn is seen at the upper right of Scorpius. In the middle of Sagittarius is a recently discovered supernova, Nova Sagittarii 2015 No. 2, which is visible to the naked eye.
thatoneplantboi: Hey guys, I'm new to growing nepenthes, I'm getting a mini indoor greenhouse to grow them in. What kind of light should I use for them? Also, if you could provide a link to a product, it would be very much appreciated

borneo: Yes, they work superbly. But you don't need expensive lights, cheap ones work well too.

vidyut: hey mylesg. glad to hear that. Love this forum. Facebook can't organize knowledge like this. Will participate as much as I can.

vidyut: Photobucket has ruined this place and many other forum archives with years and years of photos worth referencing now blurred. Priceless information hostage to services once free, begging for adoption, arbitrarily monetized.
