That is awesome! You can tell what sex it is from the pictures? Are you sure it is male? Oh and if you win the date, and me and someone else are able to make some seeds, then I will give 15 seeds from out of my cut to you/the winner! Also, are you sure it is a Miranda? If so that is Suh-WEET because it was believed that the Miranda was sterile?!?!?

It's male ( yes, you can tell by the shape of the unopened blooms; round buds are male, oblong buds are female). Miranda pollen has a very low fertility rate, so you'd want to find a VERY fertile female. Even so, don't expect much in the way of usable seed.

I've had high successes before with using N. Miranda pollen, however it's well known the most common clone is a nearly sterile male, so I got lucky. There is also at least one even rarer female clone, but the one you have is definitely male, and I'd bet at least another 2-4 weeks before the first flower opens.

I have a little contest going to the one who guesses closest to date and time. Winner gets 15 seeds from my cut if seeds are made and the GLOW-REE of the winning guess! Care to take a guesstimate?

What Paul Barden said. It seems growers in the tropics have better success with higher fertility rates when hybridizing with Miranda. The female clone's culture was discontinued a while ago and it appears now there are only two clones left of Miranda and both are male.

Hey, so my Miranda is making a monsterously huge all green pitcher (pretty much); is this the difference between the Upper and Lower Pitchers for the Miranda?
