I'm looking for a small A/C unit for my 55 gallon intermediate/highland terrarium for the summer. It stays cool enough to be left alone in the winter, but I'm concerned over what might happen in the Virginia heat. I'm looking for something compact, since I don't have much space to work with in my room. I'd preferably like something that I won't have to drill any holes in walls or seal open windows. I found some portable ones, but I don't know how effective they are. Any suggestions from anyone?

If you Google, "Mini/small Swamp Cooler" you might be able to find something that would work for you. Lots of DIYs out there if that is your thing, personally, I have tried making one of my own and mine sucked! Not to say yours wont but unless DIY is your thing, I would recommend just buying one that is "returnable" if you know what I mean.
If you can picture a cooler full of ice water, running copper tubing through it and sending fluid through that up to a radiator that has a little fan blowing through it, then you have the idea of what a swamp cooler is.

thatoneplantboi: Hey guys, I'm new to growing nepenthes, I'm getting a mini indoor greenhouse to grow them in. What kind of light should I use for them? Also, if you could provide a link to a product, it would be very much appreciated

borneo: Yes, they work superbly. But you don't need expensive lights, cheap ones work well too.
