Once I saw a sewing and embroidery buisness in a shopping mall, that offered custom patches if you brought them the image. I dont know anything much about it, but I asked somebody in response to your question, and I have been told that computer contolled sewing and embroidery machines are around now and that buisnesses that do custom sewing etc are likely to own them.

If you pay for her time and materials, I think this mans wife could possibly make some CP patches for you. Here is a thread where she embroidered Nepenthes rafflesiana onto a pillow.
