hello to all,
i need some advice, i have a lowii x truncata, and it vining...
now its getting a bit big...
ive made cuttings before, but i feel this one is a bit difficult to cut and root.
should i do it, or move all its neighboring plants to give it the room it deserves?

i happen to have a very sharp sushi knife, yes!
a samurai katana on my wall too...

If you decide to take a cutting, that will probably be your best bet! I used to take cuttings with a serrated knife and didn't get many taking, but when I started using an exacto knife, most all of the cuttings I take root. A clean cut makes a big difference!

I got an unrooted cutting of a N. lowii x truncata about a year ago. It was a small cutting with only two nodes so I was sure it would fail but it took off just fine. If it's a good cutting it should take just fine.

I personally would not cut that plant. I wouldnt cut that plant until it flowers or until it has a basal at least 4 "
inchs tall.

ive decided to wait a couple more monthes hoping for a basal shoot to pop out.
if not, ill chop it up sushi style... at least it wont kill the mother plant (right...?).
anyway, thank you all for the advice and wish me luck!
