Planning to travel to Indonesia later this year, I would like to know if malaria is to be taken very seriously at the moment, or if, as my doctor just read, it is not to be anticipated in particular these coming months...

It's the leeches that'll get you, not the skeeters! Just returned and didn't have any real problems with mosquitoes, of course I probably smelled so bad they all flew the other direction! Just be sure to lather up with goop when hanging out in the villages at the base of mountains...that's where the only 'real' problems will come from. 40% DEET sprayed on my shoes and leech socks (a must!) kept me leech-bite-free for 3 weeks with only 2-3 reapplications. Others were not so lucky. One person found 100% DEET in an aerosol spray from America. He didn't have any bites either! Have a great trip! ~Shawn

plantguyty1: Does anybody need pollen? I have N. Miranda it's the first time it flowered for me so I do not know if its sterile or a good candidate. Is there anybody with an active female that would like to give my pollen a shot?

thatoneplantboi: Hey guys, I'm new to growing nepenthes, I'm getting a mini indoor greenhouse to grow them in. What kind of light should I use for them? Also, if you could provide a link to a product, it would be very much appreciated
