I say you ditch the other plants and fill up the wall with Nepenthes too. That is a great setup.

mannyherreraI say you ditch the other plants and fill up the wall with Nepenthes too. That is a great setup. I wish,I had the money to add more nepenthes or other cps that will go well in this setup. marcellocatalanothe aristolochioides is in live Sphagnum (the white stuff is mold),you cant see in the picture but the mold disappearing and the sphagnum seems to like the condition and started to grow. my mix for all of the plants (except the aristolochioides ) is Coconut chips /perlite/ peat with LFS as a top .  here are the plants I left out(thought of waiting until they will pitcher) N. flava  Nepenthes jacquelinae  I've got two lowii (murud){divided them } the first  the second{ you can see pitchers formulate}

Did you put and inch or so of peat, perlite, or dry sphagnum under the living sphagnum? LSF doesn't like to be placed on plain plastic. I ask it just because it shouldn't be covered with mould, not even if the sphagnum is growing faster... Also, be careful with the spots of the hamata leaves. I don't want to be too critical, I just care about the plants Marcello

Hi
Yes I want to know too, what is the brown puffy stuff on the wall? Also, where do you live? Is that a heater on the wall? I am feeling a bit jealous, cos I want a set up like that, but I'm hoping that I can grow my CP's outside hanging under a palm tree all year round. I am very inexperienced but our winters here are not too harsh. No snow or below zero temps but some days in summer reach mid 30 degrees celsuis. Hope I can get it right.

I didn't put anything under the sphagnum,the mold came from lack of air(the plants was covered with plastic bag for acclimation) . I am going to watch on the hamata spots suek and Brat I used filler foam/pu foam to create the background and after it was dry I used silicon to glue the Coconut chip I am adding a link that shows all the process ( I took the idea from there) www.blackjungle.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=2108hope I answered your questions . I live in Israel. its not heater ,its cold plate(if you want you can see exactly how I build everything in this link forum.petpitcher.com/showthread.php?t=1412Adi
