Hi sunbelle, wonderful plant! does albomarginata require a long time to begin vining? My plant is staying very compact, not that its bad, but the plant hardly seems to be growing at all. I hope I am not doing anything wrong How large do the lowers and uppers get? thanks
N. albomarginata doesn't get huge. I think the compact growth is attractive. We had many small plants that seemed as if they have stopped growing. Don't worry, let them establish. As soon as they were "ready" they just came to life all at once. It's like they "save it up" and produce six or seven new leaves and pitchers all at the same time. The long vines that are producing uppers are cuttings from Exotica (in the pics above). It must have taken years to grow them to that size. Since they have been in our greenhouse, only a few months, they have grown many new leaves and pitchers.
The plant is the Kuching spotted form from MT. These intermediate pitchers are not spotted but have this greyish tone. The peristome is very dark red, almost black. The lower pitchers have colours similar to Michelle's pic on the left.
Capslock, you'll need to bend the vine as low as you can to get the basal. That's what I did. But then again, your albo's in a tank... Personally, I do not like upper vine cuttings unless the pitchers are FANTASTIC like the lowii.

plantguyty1: Does anybody need pollen? I have N. Miranda it's the first time it flowered for me so I do not know if its sterile or a good candidate. Is there anybody with an active female that would like to give my pollen a shot?

thatoneplantboi: Hey guys, I'm new to growing nepenthes, I'm getting a mini indoor greenhouse to grow them in. What kind of light should I use for them? Also, if you could provide a link to a product, it would be very much appreciated

borneo: Yes, they work superbly. But you don't need expensive lights, cheap ones work well too.
