My disappointment on most thorelii hybrids is the size of the pitchers . Not large hybrids by any means. Great truncata x tm by the way! Mine was so slow this winter. I believe this is one of those hybrids that really does its best in intermediate temps, not so much highland or lowland. Otherwise, just about all truncata hybrids seem to love lowland conditions as much as intermediate. Not so much highland.

Do y'all grow your thorelli x TMs as highlanders or lowlanders? Considering their TM parentage, I've grown them as H/Lers so far, but that might have been a mistake. I found they survive the winter outside, but stay small, always. Until I saw Michael's pix of his plants, I'd always reckoned they were always as small as mine!

Hans I was surprised to find that my thorelii x TM has only ever shown vigor during hot weather. During our famous heat wave of last summer was when I saw the most growth and this past winter, when my sibu x TM did its best, the thorelii x TM nearly stopped growth.

Although my plant is growing and looking fine, I am not seeing pitchers becoming larger. Here's the latest, no real increase in size. Is this supposed to get larger? N. ventricosa x TM

Paul: Why not put up a message in the Sale/Trade section to see if anyone's willing to part with one?

Paul: Why not put up a message in the Sale/Trade section to see if anyone's willing to part with one? I believe I did that several months back, got no response. (It may have been on one of the other forums, though....not sure) I might try again, thanks.
