Confirm this hybrid can grow in the lowland. It pitcher off and on but rather small . So far the leaves are getting bigger. I was surprise that it grows well here it was my least expected plant to grow. Secret very well drain medium.
Micheal , This are all very beautiful . Do you irrigate them throughout the day with the drip system or otherwise cause i like to know too. Mine have tiny littel pitcher with large leaf. Great job . Do you know that catasetum orchids changes sex depending on light intensity. Higher light level produces female flower while lower light level produces male flower. Maybe nepenthes is opposite.

Not so sure about the sex change via temperature for nepenthes. But mine are irrigated regularly by automatic drip on timers and many times manually by hand if the day has been windy, dry or just too strong winds forcing air through the mesh pots. One of the sure facts for growing this hybrid is that they love direct sunlight. Plants in shade produce large leaves, but have tiny pitchers. I still have a few that are in large hanging baskets in deeper shade (as old as these are) and are still producing small pitchers. I plan on moving them upwards to larger mesh pots in bright light and see how long it takes the transformation to occur. I will keep you posted as to their development from start to mature size plants. When i first saw these offered by EP a while ago, I just couldn't believe that this cross was available. They will tell you that I single-handedly bought them out of this cross all by myself. I just couldn't resist due to the immaculate combinations of each species. You just can't go wrong. I had just anticipated a Tiveyi-like hybrid and were amazed with what resulted. This cross is a serious (EP PLEASE REMAKE THIS!) cross to remake. You've seen the results, so perhaps they may use some superior parent, or maybe a lowland veitchii or something next time! Glad you enjoy this hybrid. I'm also glad that I bought my fair (oink) share of these!

Calling in my reservations for this reversal. Since posting these shots, you can bet this cross will be a sell out. This cross just has to be one of the most robust of all crosses. My appreciation for veitchii has really tenfold after seeing N. eymae x veitchii!

veitchii x eymae sounds interesting. Most should resemble the original cross, but perhaps the coloration may lean more towards N. eymae or maybe veitchii habits more surfaced. In any event, I believe the same hybrid vigor will persist! Some species when crossed together just makes a super hybrid no matter what!
Since this reversal has a different pairing of each species there should be more interesting colrations with this upcoming cross.

plantguyty1: Does anybody need pollen? I have N. Miranda it's the first time it flowered for me so I do not know if its sterile or a good candidate. Is there anybody with an active female that would like to give my pollen a shot?

thatoneplantboi: Hey guys, I'm new to growing nepenthes, I'm getting a mini indoor greenhouse to grow them in. What kind of light should I use for them? Also, if you could provide a link to a product, it would be very much appreciated

borneo: Yes, they work superbly. But you don't need expensive lights, cheap ones work well too.
