My camera settings were a little off, but thanks to Ludwig, my pics are looking better. Here's the difference:
The biggest difference was turning off the color effects (was set to cool) and setting the picture adjustment to natural instead of vivid. At one time I thought these settings gave better pictures, but I think the new settings make the pictures more accurate.
A day without Nepenthes is like a day without sunshine! -- steve
Steve your photo looks much better. Does your camera have aperture adjustment? If it does, try to set it to it's lowest setting. This will put just your subject in focus and blur out the background. I like this extreme:
As you lower the aperture you need to raise the shutter speed to compensate for different light levels (the ISO setting plays into this too whivh should be set lower which will make your camera more sensitive to light levels). It's just personal taste but I love the contrast with a blurred background, and I believe it sharpens your subject at the same time.
Thank you, Ludwig, for finally letting us all enjoy Steve's plants in their natural glory! I've always found that cool color setting a bit off, but then again, people's tastes are different, so I didn't say anything. Maybe I should have. Whatever :-)

plantguyty1: Does anybody need pollen? I have N. Miranda it's the first time it flowered for me so I do not know if its sterile or a good candidate. Is there anybody with an active female that would like to give my pollen a shot?

thatoneplantboi: Hey guys, I'm new to growing nepenthes, I'm getting a mini indoor greenhouse to grow them in. What kind of light should I use for them? Also, if you could provide a link to a product, it would be very much appreciated

borneo: Yes, they work superbly. But you don't need expensive lights, cheap ones work well too.
