Nice setup! Is that a welding mask or parking meter? And what's inside that tank? Does/will it have a lid?
Here are my two winter tanks for the li'l lowlanders. Actually, I just plugged all the holes and gaps in the greenhouse with styrofoam, and installed a nice fat piece of PE as a door between sweathouse and dryhouse, and now it's a cozy 95% humidity in the former. I reckon I can safely move my lowlanders back up there as soon as I've installed a radiator.
<rant>To tell the truth, I forkin' hate terrariums. Sure, they're pretty to behold, but it's like putting bears, large cats and other predatory beauties in cages - utter mutilation of the inmates' natural splendor and everything they stand for. </rant>
The only good thing about these tanks is that they make my office nice and toasty...
yes thats my welding helmit..... thats a gold fish in the tank and theres lowlanders on the left and cephs and other seedlings on the right. i got some big insustrial poly film type plastic stuff from work im going to cover it in 2 or 3 layers should be good.
Looking nice those tanks! I actually miss having an illuminated terrarium in my office - it ain't that bad...

Have the fungicide ready now. Peristomes will be attacked / blackened first. And the other -cides too. You might want to allow some air movement at least during day time. Talking of fresh experience, since we had pretty hole-plugged cozy weather the last weeks... No more probs now, but I have to water the plants myself again, due to lack of rain.
I'd have to leave that to my wife. While I'm blessed with six left hands whose fingers are all (broken) thumbs, she's the one in the household who changes toilet bowls, repairs various machinery and constructs beautiful front gates out of unassuming pieces of driftwood.
My machismo is all in the speech organs. (I can bench 250 pounds with my tongue, bubba!)
What are you using as a transparent pane? What are you going to do to combat rusting and errosion? Even coated metels and stainless (more so 304 and lower) are still even prone to discoloring and oxidizing, especially when in a situation as such a grow chamber presents (24/7 humidity and wetness).
But great going on making a lowland enclosure, the best kind there is.
thatoneplantboi: Hey guys, I'm new to growing nepenthes, I'm getting a mini indoor greenhouse to grow them in. What kind of light should I use for them? Also, if you could provide a link to a product, it would be very much appreciated

borneo: Yes, they work superbly. But you don't need expensive lights, cheap ones work well too.

vidyut: Photobucket has ruined this place and many other forum archives with years and years of photos worth referencing now blurred. Priceless information hostage to services once free, begging for adoption, arbitrarily monetized.
