I bought a new 300w LED light for my plant stand in the living room. It turned out that the lights so blinding that it can't be used in a common area. I'm thinking of shading it with some black cloth materials but I'm am worried that it will reduce the ventilation. Any advice or suggestions are welcome pls. Thanks

I am familiar with these LED lights. I have a 240 and I just got a 600W. I also have an apogee PAR meter and these LED lights shoot it super high! Anyhoo, good choice going with an LED. Here are some ideas/words to get you brain storming a solution: closet, aluminum foil, stick-on window one-way mirror stuff, Aluminum Tape. I just had an idea: take some aluminum foil and make an underneath your light lamp shade that will direct the light more like a lens of a flashlight does. With a little tweaking of the foil, I bet you could get it to work. Watch out for the back side being longer than the front side otherwise you might end up with an annoying reflective surface shining out. Does this give you some ideas?

plantguyty1: Does anybody need pollen? I have N. Miranda it's the first time it flowered for me so I do not know if its sterile or a good candidate. Is there anybody with an active female that would like to give my pollen a shot?

borneo: Yes, they work superbly. But you don't need expensive lights, cheap ones work well too.
