Esteemed Colleagues,
Do you know any adults (18+) with autism (Asperger's syndrome or anywhere on the autism spectrum) who might be interested in taking this online survey?
My gfriend is a graduate student who is currently looking for participants to take a confidential online research survey. This research project has been IRB approved. We would really appreciate your help in forwarding this to anyone you know who is an autistic adult or who works with autistic adults!
As part of the second half of their award winning research project exploring how adults with autism experience romantic relationships they are now collecting data about how they experience social relationships and it's effect on their quality of life.
Will you help us out by forwarding this email to anyone who might know an autistic adult who would like to take the survey?
Here is the link to the survey:
docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?fromEmail=true&formkey=dFQ3M0paSHJiaDlYZ25qUmI5QUxTZ3c6MQ
They will be collecting this data until August 10, 2012.
This is such valuable research because there is a very large number of young people with autism who are transitioning to adulthood. Currently there is little existing research on how to help them make this transition smoothly. The more data they can collect in this research the more they can help contribute to the quality of life of adults with autism who struggle with social relationships by creating useful strategies to help them build better social, romantic, and personal relationships.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and forward this email to anyone you think would like to participate.
