It's a real beauty, Paul. It's interesting to contrast yours with Keith Ellison's in his Shadehouse thread.

I think Paul hit the nail on the head again - this grex seems to be extremely variable. I have two and they look quite a bit different - nice, but different.... Unfortunately, neither is as nice as your most recent picture Paul..... It's a real beauty, Paul. It's interesting to contrast yours with Keith Ellison's in his Shadehouse thread. I agree, and have noted same. I have seen several clones of N. Whisper online, and there is actually quite a bit of variation between them. This one (I have two) is almost indistinguishable from a nicely striped N. veitchii, from what I can tell. Do you not have a plant of this, Michelle? Seems to me this would be most suited to your growing conditions!

Beautiful photograph of a beautiful subject, Paul. We don't have it, but we have similar hybrids from EP. We have watched Keith's get larger over time, and the one with the reddish peristome is really looking great. These hybrids involving veitchii, maxima, northiana, and now eymae- all combined in different ways- are proving to be a worthwhile avenue of hybridizing.

Unfortunately, neither is as nice as your most recent picture Paul..... Thank you Keith! I have a second plant of this cross, albeit a much smaller plant, so comparisons are not possible yet. The younger one does appear to have a much redder pitcher body though, so I hope its going to be a darker pitcher as it grows up. I can't say I'm disappointed in this one, though! ;-) Well, if it ever disappoints you I am sure we can work out some kind of trade ;D...
