Is anybody out there using a heat pump (air conditioner) to heat the greenhouse? For example to maintain a min of 10C when the ambient is between say -7 to +4. Does it work ok, any idea what COP you actually acheive and is it a standard domestic air conditioner etc?

I dont have a green house but I keep all of my plants in terrariums in my garage and it gets cold in the winters here and what I have been using is a oil heater and I place a fan by the heater so that more air is moving past the heater and helping heat up the room.
