I'm really feeling for you about now Geoff. Perhaps, after you help kevnep clean up the termites in his neighbors yard and explain to helilover that his N. "Sabre" is N. Sabre then maybe you can help me figure out what to do about my neighbors dog. ;D

Hi Geoff,
Is it possible to see pics of some of the N. ventricosa x (ventricosa x xtrusmadiensis) clones?
Have you attempted to use Ventricosa (c) in any other crosses (other than (c) x Ventricosa-red form)?
If yes, was the seed not viable?
Also have you considered crossing N. dubia x N. ampullaria?, might be interesting to see if (the lid arching all the way back characteristic) is retained.
Thanks

And while we're at it, maybe Geoff can help me remember that recipe for Yorkshire Pudding my mother used to make when we were kids? Apparently Geoff has super powers I wasn't aware of, so might as well make use of em! On another note: thanks Geoff, for details about "cold snaps" at your nursery. It helps me understand the tolerances of some of the highland/lowland hybrids. That said, I have a new plant in my collection, which I understand came from your breeding program, N. sibuyanensis X Trusmadiensis: In a word: WOW! nitrogenseekers.wordpress.comAttachments:

Kevnep. Google is your friend. For pest control, such as termites, try Bifenthrin. Here in the USA it is sold as Talstar One. We use it on our Nepenthes and Sarracenia for control of all pests except spider mite and chilli thrip. Folks, as Sam implied, let's keep the "ask Geoff" questions to matters directly relating to his breeding program, nursery stock, and how he and Andrea grow their plants. Remember, any suggestions on culture from EP is to be used as a point of departure for you to discover how they grow in your conditions. Geoff and Andrea, thanks for being so generous with your decades of experience, and for your boundless patience.
Okay...carry on.

Kevin you're taking all this way to personal. Its not other people's fault that SA doesnt have certain pesticides. Should the people helping you spend their time researching whats available in SA and then tell you what to use...? Im sure you know the answer to this question. To me it seems you would rather ask questions, rather than research the information yourself, but thats just my opinion so don't take it personally.

OK ..... I'm sorry Kevnep. It is actually great to see growers with you kind of enthusiasm so don't be too put off. Geoff has been very patient and accommodating in this thread considering he did not start it but was basically goated into it by whoever the hell Sabastian1 is. Keep asking questions. It was none of my business anyway. I've got a question for Geoff myself ..... I've been growing what I think is one of your bical x merrilliana for a couple of years now and, although it has not make many significant pitchers yet it has increased in bulk to about the size of a fairly large bical. It looks like it is now getting ready to throw out some good sized pitchers and wondering if you can tell, or show, me what to expect.

I wanted to know if you have any pictures of the merrilliana x trusmadinesis hybrid. I am curious to see what this cross is looking like.

Hi All. Sorry for the delay as I've been a bit busy. Good to see there is still humour on this forum Thanks guys. Ok who's first. helilover: Unless you bought the N.Sabre as a numbered clone I can't help you as there were many. Red Lowii: I only have this one pic of vent x (vent x TM) on hand. I will take some more clones asap. Yes, we have tried vent (c) in other crosses but no good so far. We don't have a decent plant of N.dubia yet. Hard to get good stock before recent times. leilani: Sam, we haven't seen much so far with this one either. In fact I was a little disappointed , size wise, with this hybrid and also raff x merrilliana. However with N.merrilliana and it's hybrids the size comes when it pitchhers from mature basals. Ours are getting to that stage now so here's hoping. kevnep: We are pleased you are happy with your order as that is our aim mikefallen13:This complex hybrid is a very slow grower. Despite what others have thought in the respect that only species are slow growers, we have seen some of these complex hybrids which are very slow. Along those lines, do you think N.robcantleyi could be a complex truncata hybrid? Any way here are some pics of a few of ours and these are the largest. Now compare these to N.lowii x merrilliana. And an immature on N.boschiana x merrilliana Cheers, Geoff
